Sierra Circuits, Inc. (Sierra Proto Express) will not disclose your personal information to any outside organization for its use in marketing without your consent.

This Privacy Policy explains how Sierra Circuits, Inc. dba. Sierra Protoexpress (“Sierra,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and discloses personal information when you visit protoexpress.com (the “Site”) or interact with us through our online features, including our contact form and email sign-up links (the “Services”). It also describes rights available to California residents under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA).

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices or for operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. When we make changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date above.

We collect information that identifies, relates to, describes, references, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with a particular consumer, household, or device (“personal information”). This Policy addresses personal information collected through the Site and Services described above.

We use FullStory and Interaction Studio for user experience personalization. Interaction Studio is part of SalesForce and SalesForce has stopped collecting personally identifiable markers GDPR but we tie that session info to our backend specific customer ourselves through internal processes.

In addition, when you submit a message through our contact form, the content of your message is collected, the category for which is dependent on what you put in your message. We do not describe additional categories of personal information collected beyond what is stated in this Policy.

3. Categories of Sources of Personal Information

We collect personal information from the following categories of sources:

Information you provide directly to us through the Site, such as when you submit the contact form, request a quote, place an order, consign components to us, ask for an ECO or open a customer service ticket. This includes billing info, shipping info, and any third-party PCB designer/engineer contact information you may provide. We may collect explicit customer profile to collect your preferences about how you want your designs to be manufactured or services to be provided.

Information we infer via tools or automatically from your device: information such as IP address, geolocation, company name and de, domain address, your browser when you use the Site, such as through cookies and similar technologies, hosting logs, and analytics tools.

Information collected by service providers/Third party sources: in order to provide customized outreach and customer service, we use third-party providers such as ZoomInfo and LinkedIn, and we may use AI platforms to give us enhanced data and understanding about a given customer.

4. Business and Commercial Purposes for Collection and Use

We use personal information for internal business purposes, including to respond to inquiries submitted through our contact form, to send general communications (including marketing messages, promotional content, updates, announcements, geolocation specific customer outreach, and information related to the business) to individuals. We further use it to operate, maintain, and improve the Site, to continuously improve or provide a better customer experience online, to guide customers toward product/service and content discovery, to help secure the Site and prevent spam, to analyze Site performance through Google Analytics 4, and to meet legal or regulatory obligations.

We use Google reCAPTCHA v2And it collects following details.

    NOTE: When we host Webinars or Educational events/ seminars: we share basic data about the list of registrants with our webinar partners. The registrants acknowledge this during webinar signup.

5. Cookies, Analytics, and Similar Technologies

The Site uses essential WordPress cookies required for functionality and Google Analytics 4 for traffic and usage analysis. We also use Google reCAPTCHA v3 to prevent spam and protect our forms. reCAPTCHA collects certain information, including IP address, device data, and usage behavior, which Google processes according to its privacy policy. We do not currently use advertising pixels such as Meta Pixel or Google Ads tags. You may adjust your browser settings to block or manage cookies, but doing so may affect Site functionality.

The Site uses essential cookies provided through WordPress required for functionality and Google Analytics 4 for traffic and usage analysis. We also use Google reCAPTCHA v2 to protect our forms from spam and automated abuse.

When users interact with forms, reCAPTCHA may collect information such as IP address, device and browser data, and user interaction data. This information is shared with Google and processed for security purposes in accordance with Google’s privacy policy.

We use Interaction Studio cookies to guide users to different versions of website, for many different purposes, but primarily for A/B testing of different products and website features. The Interaction Studio cookies are essential to working of the website and are always on.

Analytics services may also collect information about how users interact with the Site, including pages visited and device information.

We do not sell personal information and do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not currently use advertising pixels such as Meta Pixel or Google Ads tags.

You may adjust your browser settings to block or manage cookies; however, doing so may affect certain Site functionality.

6. Sale or Sharing of Personal Information

Sierra’s does not sell or share personal information of consumers. In the preceding 12 months, we have not sold or shared personal information.

7. Disclosures of Personal Information for a Business Purpose (Past 12 Months)

In the preceding 12 months, the categories of personal information we have disclosed for a business purpose include Identifiers and Internet or other electronic network activity information, as described in Section 2, to the categories of third parties listed above.

We may disclose personal information to service providers and other third parties for business purposes in limited circumstances, such as:

  • Our Webinar partners may get registrant list of the people attending webinars. This is explicitly made clear at the time of webinar registration.
  • Fedex/ UPS/ USPS/Shipping companies, for the sake of shipping final product.
  • Marketing and other sales tools: Marketo, Full Story, Outreach, SalesForce, Neverbounce
  • Third Party Tools for data enhancement: ZoomInfo, USPS (for address validation)
  • Google (Google Analytics 4 and Google reCAPTCHA v2)
  • We may also disclose personal information to comply with law, regulation, or valid legal process, and to detect and prevent security threats, fraud, or misuse of the Site.

Sierra does not collect sensitive personal information. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes other than those listed in Cal. Code Regs. Tit. 11, § 7027(m).

  • The right to request deletion of personal information we have collected from you.
  • The right to request correction of inaccurate personal information we maintain about you.
  • If a business sells or shares personal information, the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information.
  • If a business uses or discloses sensitive personal information for certain purposes beyond those allowed under the law, the right to limit the use or disclosure of sensitive personal information. [See Section 8 for Sierra’s statement regarding sensitive personal information.]
  • The right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising CCPA/CPRA rights.

12. Verification Process

A feedback on the Contact Us page is logged as a customer service ticket and is actively monitored by customer service agents who are trained to forward to the right department. The email CCPA@protoexpress.com is actively monitored by a Application Support Engineer. We will verify your contact info and authenticity before proceeding on the request.

13. Authorized Agents

An authorized agent can make a request on a consumer’s behalf as follows

14. Opt-Out Preference Signals

If customer Opts out, we will follow that guidance for 30 days from day of opt-out. Customer will be asked again after 30 days.

15. What we do during Registration and Log in: When you register on the website, we explicitly remind you that moment you are opting in to our cookies and tracking. You will not be able to register if you are not opting in. When you log in to website, you are giving us permission to track you with our cookies, since we will not be able to provide any relevant post login functionality without the cookies.

16. Under 16/Children’s Privacy Statement

Sierra has no actual knowledge that it sells or shares the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.

You may opt out of promotional communications at any time. We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the personal information we collect. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure. Please avoid sending sensitive information through unencrypted channels.

Our Site may include links to external websites. These sites operate independently from Sierra and have their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those third-party sites.
