POSITION SUMMARY: 

The Process Engineer is responsible for monitoring, improving, documenting, and training all processes assigned. This individual will assist with implementation of new processes as needed along with providing technical engineering support for the assigned processes.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Perform routine process audits & continually monitor processes for quality, effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Assist with processing/overseeing critical jobs as needed.
  • Provide engineering support for assigned areas and back up support for any other process as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BS in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Biology is preferred.
  • Experience in PCB industry, with knowledge of PCB manufacturing processes is preferred.
  • Knowledge and familiarity with ISO, SPC, Process Controls, DOE and Six Sigma DMAIC/Lean strongly preferred but not required.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and work instructions.
  • Ability to train operators and document in a timely manner.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and good computer skills such as Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as gloves, protective glasses, face-shields, aprons, rubber boots, etc. & ability to work within the confines of a room where chemical are used.

POSITION SUMMARY: 

Assembly Quoting Specialist would be responsible for: retrieving assembly RFQs or jobs from Sierra Circuits, Inc.’s website or emails, performing Assembly check-in process & analysis of the customers data/files (Gerbers, BOM, drawings etc), pricing BOMs, estimating key assembly or design parameters for the rfq or job, Pricing assembly labor as per company guidelines, and generating BOM ISSUES report & Special Assembly Instructions documents using company’s CAD/ERP software tools, FEMS, EXCEL, WORD, OUTLOOK etc.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Assembly RFQ Check-in: Retrieving jobs from Sierra Circuits, Inc.’s website or emails, perform Assembly RFQ checkin process, including RFQ analysis of the customer data/files (Gerbers, BOM, CAD data etc.), pricing BOMs, estimating key assembly or design parameters for the rfq, Pricing assembly labor as per company guidelines/tools, and generating BOM ISSUES report & Special Assembly Instructions documents using company’s CAD/ERP software tools, EXCEL, WORD etc.
  • Also carryout validation of online Assembly ORDERs placed by customers online on company’s website.
  • Consult and/help other team members if required in successful execution of the RFQ Quoting process.
  • Process assembly RFQs and other necessary paperwork or electronic data in a timely manner.
  • Correspond with team members, sales persons, customers, supervisors, through email, telephone as required and as necessary to complete the tasks. Answer calls and provide appropriate information to customer queries.
  • Expected to handle several projects in parallel.
  • Prepare reports for the Supervisor / Manager as needed.
  • Follow and maintain departmental procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum education: associate degree in related field; Bachelor degree is preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years Experience as a QUOTER with data entry and analysis/checkin responsibilities in Electronics Assembly industry / contract manufacturing.
  • Proficient in viewing Gerbers data, PCB assembly drawings & Bill of materials (BOMs) and Knowledge of Electronics Components that are mounted on electronic assemblies.
  • Knowledge of Pricing and Sourcing of Electronic components of the BOM from well known Component Distributors.
  • Knowledge of pricing of Assembly Labor is desirable and will be a plus.
  • Good mathematics aptitude and very detailed oriented.
  • Must have Excellent Computers skills: EXCEL, WORD, OUTLOOK & other office suites.
  • Ability to learn new skills and tasks as required, especially using software applications for PCB & Assembly industry like ProCim / CAM350/AEGIS-CircuitCAM / VALOR/GENESIS / ERP software etc.
  • Ability to type at least 40-45 wpm.

Laser Operator

The Laser Drill Operator is responsible for setting up and operating equipments such as ESI and Lumonics machines.  The individual will perform laser drilling tasks according to the travelers or as directed by Managers.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Check traveler for due date, material type, and special request for priority before starting the processes.
  • Operate ESI and Lumonics machines to drill boards.
  • Inspect and produce products using tools such as microscope and micrometer.
  • Check registration and make adjustments as needed before running multi-layered product.
  • Inspect for debris, burr, and missing or shallow holes after completing the drilling process.
  • Log job status on computer using the PCB software (ProCim) and complete Non-Conforming Material Report (NCMR) form for all products that are rejected from the process before moving to the next process.
  • Assist department in achieving zero scrap per month.
  • Perform daily maintenance on machines and house keeping duties to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Inform Managers (Drilling/Fabrication Manager, Production Manager, etc.) of any potential problems
  • Ability to stand/walk 8 + hours per day.

Final Finish Operator

POSITION SUMMARY: 

The Hot Air Solder Level (HASL) operator is responsible for moving panels through the HASL process according to travelers or as directed by the department manager/supervisor. She/He is also responsible for operator level maintenance of equipment.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Process orders through HASL process steps including:
    • Pre-clean
    • HASL
    • Post clean
    • Inspection
  • Provide chemical support of all HASL equipment by means of the following activities:
    • Preparing solder samples for analysis
    • Chemical additions and full bath changes
    • Rinse water maintenance
    • Equipment cleaning
    • Skimming the solder pots
    • Drossing the solder pots
  • Provide product and process support by routine inspection of product, equipment, processes and supplies.
    • Product Inspection:  All boards processed are to be inspected for defects.  Each process step has associated defects that are explained in Work Instructions.
    • Equipment Inspection:  Each piece of equipment must be maintained and examined for proper set up and operation.
    • Process Inspection:  Each process has an operational window that it must work within. 
    • Supply Inspection:  Supplies used to manufacture our product must meet certain requirements.
  • Follow all processing instructions associated with each process step and each work order.
    • Individual orders may have specific instructions as to HASL type.
    • The HASL process has a set of work instructions that must be followed.
  • Work within local, state, federal laws and company guidelines regarding safety and chemical use.
    • Work with Waste Treatment and follow accepted spent chemical guidelines.
    • Follow proper dumping and pumping guidelines regarding rinse waters and processing chemicals.
    • Ensure that lead free solder and tin lead solder, equipment, tools and waste are always separated.
    • Follow company safety procedures regarding machinery, supply use, and chemical handling
  • Assist Production Management and Engineering Department regarding product flow, quality, timeliness and process testing and design.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
