Drilling Operator

POSITION SUMMARY:  The Drilling Operator is responsible for setting up and operating equipments such as Hitachi, Excellon, X-Ray, Shearing and Pinning machines.  She/He will perform drilling tasks according to the travelers or as directed by Managers/Supervisors.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Check traveler for due date, material type, and special request for priority before starting the drilling process.
  • Operate Flurotec and Spot Face machines to drill boards.
  • Inspect and produce products using tools such as microscope and micrometer.
  • Check registration and make adjustments as needed before running multi-layered product.
  • Inspect for debris, burr, and missing or shallow holes after completing the drilling process.
  • Log job status on computer using the PCB software (ProCim) and complete Non-Conforming Material Report (NCMR) form for all products that are rejected from drilling and/or fabrication process before moving to the next process.
  • Assist department in achieving zero scrap per month.
  • Perform daily maintenance on machines and house-keeping duties to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Inform Drilling Manager, Production Manager, etc. of any potential problems.
  • Ability to stand/walk 8 + hours per day.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Quality Assurance Inspector

POSITION SUMMARY:  The QA Inspector is responsible for inspecting and verifying the Printed Circuit Boards (PCB) during assembly to ensure that customer’s specifications/requirements are met.  She/He will implement an AQL level of inspection to insure all quality aspects are met for every job or project.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: 

  • Perform 1st article and in-process inspection procedures ensure that all quality requirements are being met.
  • Verifies installation of hardware on assembly projects, components and parts for documentation.
  • Using magnification aids and stereo-microscope inspect populated PCBs and identify component. Misplacement and solder defects or any other defects to IPC-A-610 (current revision) standards.
  • Using Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) equipment, inspect populated PCBs for correct. component placement, value, and orientation (also Ball Grid Array mounting).
  • Using defect or nonconformance data, effectively communicate quality issues and discrepancies, via QMS procedures, to management or assembly house personnel for immediate correction and to ensure that all products meet customer specifications.
  • Using customer Bill of Material and assembly notes, verify that assembly is built correctly.
  • Identifies and reports all processes and product non-conformances. Maintains all required logs and records.
  • Communicates discrepancies to the appropriate management representative in order to ensure that all products meet customer specifications.
  • Interface with source inspectors and other customer representatives as required.
  • Incoming inspection of electronic components and parts utilizing company/customer specifications, data sheets and BOM, insure that all parts shipped from vendors meet required quality criteria.
  • Read and understand customer’s drawings, specifications and requirements, as well as ISO procedures and IPC specifications as they apply to inspecting printed circuit board assembly.
  • Thoroughly and accurately complete forms and documentation as related to reporting inspection results.
  • Professionally and effectively communicate both verbally and written with coworkers, management, vendors, source inspectors and customer representative (when needed).
  • Track jobs and enter inspection results regarding yields, rework and scrap onto reports.
  • Perform house-keeping duties to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Be punctual and maintain good attendance.

SMT Operator

POSITION SUMMARY: The SMT Operator will set up and program the screen printer, SMT pick and place machine, and reflow ovens to insure all quality aspects for all assembly projects are being met. He/She is also responsible for operating all machinery related to PCB assembly.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: 

 

  • Review and inspect all incoming data from customers to insure data is sufficient for assembly of PCBs.
  • Set up feeders from “feeder assignment” for all SMT pick and place machines.
  • Inspect all Stencils for form, fit, and function as it relates to the PCBA job and the Screen Printer.
  • Setup and program the Screen Printer for defect free printing.
  • Coordinate with QC for 1st article Inspection to insure proper placement of parts.
  • Perform reflow profiling of reflow oven as it pertains to each assembly build.
  • Record and maintain all reflow profiles for current and future builds of all products.
  • Using defect or nonconformance data, effectively communicate quality issues, via QMS procedures, to the PCB Assembly Manager or assembly house personnel as required, for immediate correction.
  • Read and understand customer’s drawings, specifications and requirements, as well as ISO procedures and IPC specifications as they apply to printed circuit board assembly.
