Sierra Circuits was proud to be one of the main sponsors at PCB West. Besides hosting an expo luncheon and bags, we held a reception dinner, donated to the IPC-2581 Raffle, and even held two presentations! If you managed to miss these events, you might have seen a camera at our booth.
We hired a camera crew to interview speakers, industry leaders, and friendly faces from PCB West. Here’s the third of six interviews we’ll be sharing.
Joe Clark from Downstream Technologies was kind enough to talk to us about the IPC-2581 Consortium and PCB West. Downstream Technologies is a key driver behind the acceptance and development of the IPC-2581 standard. The IPC’s booth garnered quite a bit of interest; not only from fabricators and manufacturers, but designers and OEMs—and what it will provide for their companies. “The state of design exchange between the design community and the fabrication houses are predominately via Gerber, which has been around for years,” said Clark.
Clark was also very enthusiastic about the show. PCB West was well-attended and attracted the interest of many wanting to find out the latest and greatest in the industry. As America’s “flagship show,” it’s where tools, products and services are debuted and presented in the PCB design and manufacturing industry.
